-This Build will follow my progress as i convert the refined and unlikely 05' LEXUS GX470 everyday driver into a truly equipped off-roader... -Although the under the radar GX470 is perfectly capable for off-road use from the factory when they were made; I don't think the engineers and the Stylist were in the same meeting.-First impressions of a GX470 are "Sporty Soccer Mom Mid-size SUV" ... But under the hood the GX is packing a 4.7L V8 w/ 235bhp and 320 lb-ft Torque .... With a Body on frame construction and 6500lbs of towing capability this vehicle is more of a truck than its rear spoiler and running boards give it credit for ... -The drive train of the GX470 is complemented with All time AWD , a Center Diff Lock, and A-track which make for a surprisingly good combo off road -All this being said w/ the help of Kevin Berthelot at SOUTHERN STYLE SPEED its time we tuff'n up the this 05' GX !
