Find your next step.
A quick guide to garages, public stories, and shop workspaces. Start small. The first chapter does not need to be a frame-off restoration.
Start your garage
- Sign in with Google or an email sign-in link.
- Choose your builder handle when you first open My Garage.
- Add a build, fill in the vehicle details, and add photos.
- Create chapters and dated updates to document the work. Your personal build starts private.
Privacy & publishing
Who can see my draft?
Your personal draft is private to your account. Authorized staff can access shop-owned drafts in their shop. A public story is a separate published snapshot.
What happens when I edit an update?
Save your text and photo changes privately. Your current public story stays as it was until you publish again. Removing a draft photo does not remove the published copy until you republish.
What should I check before publishing?
Review the story and photos for information you do not want public, including plates, addresses, faces, and documents. Publishing makes the snapshot available to anyone. Unpublishing cannot recall copies others have already made.
Parts, wishlists & private notes
Open a build in your garage and use Parts & wishlist to record the parts you want, have purchased, installed, or removed. Add a brand, part number, product link, specifications, phase, and optional private cost.
When marking a part installed, link a dated update on that build or create an installation update in the same save. Select Include this part in my next published snapshot if you want the part details shared. Wanted and purchased items and all costs stay private. Private notes have their own tab and are never published. Shop notes are visible to the shop’s authorized managers.
Odoo continues to handle stock, purchasing, and inventory. Saving a part here creates a build record only.
Following & conversations
Open a public build and choose Follow to keep up with published progress in Following. Comments can be added to builds and photos, with replies and user mentions. Conversations on public stories are public too.
Choose the right account
Use My account to check your signed-in email. Choose Switch account / sign out before signing in with another identity. Your personal garage belongs to that account; shop access requires a shop role. Signing in with a second email does not automatically merge garages or grant shop access.
Working with a shop
Staff with an assigned role can open the Shop workspace to manage projects. The Shop Garage holds shop-owned build stories. Private operational records stay separate from published stories.
A personal build plan is not a confirmed work order or appointment. Follow your shop’s request, estimate, and authorization process. Promotional media permission is separate from permission to work on your vehicle, so you may decline promotional use and still request a build.
